FYI, this story is more than a year old

Angel Association New Zealand has jumped into bed with US internet tools provider Angelsoft to connect start-ups with local and global investment communities.

The deal aims to accelerate the early stage innovation environment in New Zealand and professionalise the country’s funding process, facilitate co-investment opportunities throughout the region and connect New Zealand investors and entrepreneurs to the global innovation market.

The tools are said to provide comprehensive deal flow management for angel groups as well as unmatched solutions for maintaining ongoing relationships with, and mentoring of, start-up entrepreneurs.

“Today’s partnership was made is a real coup for AANZ members, who can now leverage the global standard in deal flow management and collaboration software,” said Bill Payne, a US-based angel investor. “Having spent a great deal of time in New Zealand, I know firsthand how vibrant its early stage start-up community has become. With Angelsoft’s suite of tools in place, I have no doubt that angels and entrepreneurs will drastically streamline the funding process and open up a new world of co-investment opportunities.”

Angel Association New Zealand was established in 2008 to increase the success of angel investments in New Zealand and in doing so create a greater pool of capital for innovative start-up companies.
