MYOB has announced new job roles and divisions to increase focus on cloud solutions and hone in on SMEs, accounting practices and enterprises throughout New Zealand and Australia.

Cloud accounting solutions is directly diving MYOB’s growth, says Tim Reed, MYOB, CEO.

“These appointments are focussed on providing the best possible range of solutions and support for over 1.2 million business customers in Australia and New Zealand, as well as our extensive network of accountants and partners,” he says.

Andrew Birch will oversee the launch of new MYOB cloud solutions as general manager of industry solutions, which is a newly created role.

The company's next phase of cloud solutions includes updates to accounting practice solutions Accountants Office and Accountants Enterprise. The cloud-ERP solution Advanced for mid to large companies will be launched, and will complement existing MYOB EXO solutions.

“MYOB Accountants Office and MYOB Accountants Enterprise have been the benchmark for accountants working in public practice for over 25 years, and we’re looking forward to working with our partners as we re-imagine their extensive functionality in the cloud,” says Birch.

Birch will work with Kevin Rawlings, who has been appointed general manager of practice solutions. In this position Rawlings will report to Birch and be responsible for the delivery of MYOB’s accounting practice solutions.

Birch says, “I am excited about working with Kevin to ensure that our next generation of practice solutions provide an outstanding experience for our partners and their clients.”

The newly created products division will be headed by Adam Ferguson. The former general manager of the accounts division will now be general manager of engineering and experience.

Ferguson’s product division will bring together MYOBs cloud suite management, development and delivery into one business unit.

James Scollay will head the SME Solutions division. This division is responsible for cloud accounting solutions through MYOB’s accounting partners. Scollay and his team will drive update of MYOB’s cloud accounting and mobile products for SMEs.

The appointments will take effect from December 1.
