FYI, this story is more than a year old

Leyard has won the race to provide NBC Olympics with the video walls for its Olympics set within the International Broadcast Center in Rio in August.

Leyard will provide two TVH Series LED video walls – including a 13-foot by 13-foot videowall comprised of 169 displays, with 1.9mm pixel pitch – for the NBC Olympics set within the international broadcast center. The company will also provide an LED video wall for NBC's outdoor set in Brazil.

As well as the 13-foot wall, Leyard will provide an eight-foot wide by seven-foot tall video wall made up of 56 displays, also with 1.9mm pixel pitch for ultra-high resolution graphics and video playback, and a nine-foot wide by 12-foot toall 2.5mm pixel pitch in-floor display made up of 108 displays.

Jennifer Davis, Leyard International chief marketing officer, says the video walls will be a stunning backdrop to NBC's broadcast coverage, helping to bring all the excitement of the largest sporting event in the world to life.

Leyard says itsTVH Series allows for image adjustment to achieve broadcast-specific color temperatures and gamma levels more precisely.

“The Leyard TVH Series produces deeper blacks, higher contrast and less reflection for on-camera installations around the world,” the company claims.
