Google recommends Xero to business customers
FYI, this story is more than a year old
Xero has been added to Google’s list of Recommended for G Suite programme.
Google’s G Suite is a set of apps – Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Hangouts, etc – designed to integrate with other commonly used solutions to boost business productivity.
According to Xero, the online accounting platform was selected for the programme for its ease of use, that “simplifies bank reconciliations, inventory, billing, invoicing, and payroll, as well as Xero's ability to integrate with 500+ business apps”.
Inclusion in the programme involved going through a rigorous qualification process based on Xero’s quality of integration and alignment with G Suite, as well as 3rd-party security testing, the company says in a statement.
“Being included in the Recommended for G Suite programme is a strong hat-tip for us here at Xero," it says.
Anna Curzon, managing director for Xero New Zealand, says the company is honoured to be recommended by Google.
"It’s such a great nod by them to the work we do to make accounting and financial work easy and beautiful for businesses. Especially as a New Zealand-born business! It shows that you can build a world-class, global company from our side of the globe," she says.
"We know our 862,000+ customers are always on the hunt for solutions, tools, and programmes that work together to make their everyday business easier, and I think our partnership with Google is a great example of that," Curzon adds.
Adam Massey, director, Strategic Technology Partnerships, Google Cloud, says, “We are highly invested in our app ecosystem with close to 1,000 apps available and over 400 million installs over the last three years.
“Our new group of Recommended for G Suite apps are all leading players in their respective categories and offer innovative solutions that seamlessly integrate with G Suite to fulfill immediate customer needs,” he says.
Google’s Recommended for G Suite programme includes applications for CRM, business communications, project & process management, finance & accounting, business communications, eSignature, document management, customer support and encryption.
